Says Peter Preston: Harry Alton was a great teacher and very popular. He used to take music lessons in Hut A and played the (Bechstein) piano, located in the 'hall' each morning at Assembly. I have no idea when he joined the staff at L.E.G.S. but he was there when I first went in 1957 and when I left in 1961.
