Carsington Reservoir
Portal B or C? of the Carsington Tunnel Project
Portals B & C were located near Wirksworth

In the late 1980s, the Carsington Reservoir project, in the Derwent Valley north of Derby, provided endless interest for narrow gauge fans. The project went on for many more years than originally forecast, largely because the original dam collapsed in 1984. It was rebuilt in the following years, and now forms the basis for a very nice afternoon walk and a tea room.
