The reservoir constructed in 19?? was said to hold 450,000m3 which was reduced in 1946 due to a Geological Fault under the impounding reservoir, causing it to leak. The treatment works were opened in 1957 and built by Buxton Corporation Water Works. Ladmanlow borehole completed in 1951 is adjacent to the Road and also supplied water to the works. There are 2 buildings and a tank.
