This premises was converted into a home, shop and workshop by Charles Donald Forster - ex Long Eaton Grammar School Art Teacher. He left LEGS in 1976 and started his business creating ceramic works of art. He purchased 10 Town Street Holbrook in 1980 and renovated the condemned shop and house into what you see today. He still carried on producing art after he was diagnosed with motorneuron disease, but he died with in a year on the 30 August 2004 from a heart attack. He liked Trams, Trains, Toilets and Tarts - and that is what it says on his epitaph and also on the sign above the front door.
